Femme the Man: Rodrigo Alves

"Attempting to redefine how society expects people to dress and behave based on physical anatomy, as well as support men who feel unable to express themselves, the defiant star rocks pink talons, a blonde bobbed wig and smoky eye make-up for the stunning shoot, where crew members nicknamed him 'Jessica Alves.'

Photo-Artist Thomas Evans is driven by his need to question both societies and his own perceptions. For his entire career he has committed to explore and push against society’s prescribed labels. Thomas will be challenging this project’s participants along with the project’s viewers to reconsider their prescribed perceptions of gender and gender expression.
